Industrial Training & Inbound Programs
This unit manages student industrial training registration and inbound programs with precision. It coordinates between students, supervisors, and industry partners, ensuring smooth documentation and approvals.
The Administrative Assistant plays a key role in connecting academia with industry, turning complex processes into seamless execution that benefits both students and institutions.
Community & Industry Engagement
We oversee activities linking PKTAAB lecturers with communities and industry stakeholders. This includes managing community and industry grants, organizing outreach programs, and supporting collaborative projects.
By fostering strong networks, the section ensures PKTAAB remains a trusted partner in advancing knowledge, social responsibility, and impactful contributions beyond the academic environment.

MyRA Section E & KPI Management
We manage MyRA Section E1–E5, focusing on networking, collaboration, and institutional linkages. Responsibilities include handling KPI data with accuracy and alignment to benchmarks. By documenting partnerships, joint ventures, and academic-industry connections, the section ensures PKTAAB’s achievements are recognized in MyRA assessments and contribute to institutional excellence.

MyRA Section G, MOU/MOA & Operations
This unit handles MyRA Section G, emphasizing innovation and commercialization. It also manages the signing of MOUs and MOAs, supporting research programs, overseeing inventories, and managing utility loans. With dedication, the Administrative Assistant transforms everyday tasks into meaningful achievements that fuel collaboration, innovation, and institutional growth.

Building Bridges: PKTAAB–USM Industry & Community Collaboration

IPPT USM–INDUSTRY SYMPOSIUM 2025
STRENGTHENS RESEARCH–INDUSTRY SYNERGY AND FUTURE-READY TALENT DEVELOPMENT PENANG, 10 December 2025 – Cancer Research and Specialist Centre (PPKPK), Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM), continues to strengthen its role as a center of excellence in research and talent development through the organisation of the PPKPK USM–Industry Symposium 2025, themed Bridging Minds, Building Futures: Industry Insights for Research and Career Readiness, held at Eastin Hotel, Penang. The main objective of this program is to reinforce the synergy between university research and industry needs, enhance career readiness and graduate employability and create a platform for strategic collaboration among academia, industry and government agencies to support innovation and human capital development.
The symposium, organised by the Research, Innovation, and Networking Division (BPIJ), PPKPK USM, brought together industry leaders from the healthcare, medical technology and electronics sectors, academic experts and postgraduate students to bridge the gap between university research and actual industry needs while improving graduate career readiness. This initiative directly supports Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 3: Good Health and Well-Being, SDG 4: Quality Education through industry-based learning, SDG 8: Decent Work and Economic Growth by enhancing graduate employability, SDG 9: Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure by promoting collaboration among academia, industry, and government to drive research innovation and strengthen Malaysia’s medical technology ecosystem, and SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals by building robust cross-sector partnerships to advance health innovation and human capital development.
