SPH-IPPT: National & International Recognition


PTU is a sub-unit under the Seksyen Penyelidikan Haiwan (SPH), established in 2012 aims to implement the principles of Good Laboratory Practice under Economic Co-Operation and Development, Good Laboratory Practice (OECD-GLP). PTU serves as a sub-unit which offers services toxicity testing under OECD-GLP principles. Testing services are offered to all producers to ensure a substance produced and intended to be marketed safely and accepted by the Regulatory Authority in OECD countries. It is a requirement of testing before a product is licensed for marketing purposes. Toxicity Testing Services offered are in accordance with the procedures and guidelines of the OECD-GLP as well as the methods used are based Test Guideline established by the OECD-GLP and ICH.
